Over the year, its price has doubled, and now they are asking almost $10 million for the roadster. The one-of-a-kind car is based on the Phantom Drophead Coupé chassis and is equipped with the standard engine for this model – the canonical V12 6.75 with 453 horsepower. The Pininfarina studio that created the car was inspired by luxury coupes from the turn of the last century and pleasure boats.
The Hyperion Roadster was commissioned by renowned Rolls-Royce collector Roland Hall. The car was shown to the public at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 15 years ago, and for many years now it has been periodically available for sale at the same UAE dealer. In 2009, almost 4.5 million euros were asked for the Hyperion, in 2017 the price dropped to two million, and a year ago the unique Rolls-Royce again cost about 4.5 million euros. Now it is being sold for 9.4 million. A more than twofold increase in price is certainly surprising, but judging by the statistics, it is not only Hyperion that is becoming more expensive.

Well, in general, the car is interesting in its own way, since it is Andrea Pininfarina’s last lifetime project. At the heart of the Hyperion is the Drophead Coupe. The roadster was designed with an eye to the giant coupes of the early 20th century, so the A-pillars and seats are moved 400 millimeters to the rear. There is no back row, but in front of the windshield there is a special compartment for sporting shotguns. The second feature of the Hyperion is the built-in Girard-Perregaux tourbillon watch based on the Tourbillon Vintage 1945, which can also be worn on the wrist (they are not visible in the interior photos).

The external panels of the roadster are made of carbon fiber. The suicide doors are entirely wooden and were made by craftsmen who usually work on yachts. The Hyperion features bi-xenon headlights, LED grille lighting and a retractable soft top. The 6.75-liter V12 engine remains unchanged. It develops 453 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 5.6 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour.
