The VinFast VF3 is entering the Vietnamese market – this is a subcompact electric crossover designed for five people, comparable in size to the Oka. Acceptance of pre-orders is already open: prices start from 235 million dong, which in terms of rubles at today’s exchange rate is approximately 900 thousand. However, this price does not include a battery, without which the car will not operate; it must be rented.

The VF3 was first shown almost a year ago, but now the model has become a production model and has arrived at dealerships. The crossover, whose length is slightly more than 3.2 meters and height is 1.62 meters (for comparison, the dimensions of the Oka are 3.2 and 1.4 meters, respectively), is available for pre-order from May 13. The price does not include the battery, which can be rented via subscription: the cost varies depending on the number of kilometers traveled per month.

The VF3 has a single electric motor driving the rear wheels, which develops 44 horsepower, and on a single charge of an 18.64-kilowatt-hour battery, it travels a modest 209 kilometers on the NEDC cycle. Charging from 10 to 70 percent will take 36 minutes. Other characteristics are also given, in particular, acceleration from zero to 50 kilometers per hour – it takes 5.3 seconds.

Additional equipment for the crossover includes an infotainment system with a 10-inch screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as 16-inch wheels.

VF3 took the title of the most affordable model from VF5 Plus, which costs 458 million dong (1.6 million rubles). The “senior” crossover is equipped with a 134-horsepower electric motor and batteries with a capacity of 37.23 kilowatt-hours. The power reserve is 300 kilometers on the same outdated NEDC cycle.
