Kimera Automobili has unveiled its third restomod, dubbed the K39, a race car inspired by the legendary monsters that climbed Pikes Peak in the late ’70s. In 2025, a wild restomod will try to take part in the hill climb.
The Kimera K39 is built on a carbon fiber monocoque with a neo-retro body style inspired by the Lancia 037. The restomod features an aggressive front splitter and a large rear wing. It has massive fenders and a rear end that helps keep the car planted on the road.
Kimera Automobili has not revealed any details about the engine that will power the K39. What we do know is that it won’t be an electric powertrain, as is the case with most modern Pikes Peak race cars.
The company stated:
“The iconic new Silhouette will have an engine that will make a lot of noise and be heard throughout the climb.”
