The photo published by Lucid Forum shows a pickup truck with an unusual design and a very narrow strip of front optics. The author of the publication reports that this may be a model of the upcoming pickup truck from the Californian brand Lucid Motors. And next to the model you can see a prototype of the Gravity model, which is expected to premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week.

The startup itself does not comment on the further development of the model range. So far, Lucid is represented on the American market with a single model – the Air electric sedan, which in the top Sapphire version is equipped with three electric motors with a total capacity of 1,200 horsepower. It will soon be joined by Gravity, a crossover “with the dynamics of a supercar,” which, as the company itself says, will set “new standards in the class of luxury electric crosses.” It can compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV.

The crossover will likely be followed by a third model, which will enter the popular pickup truck segment in the United States. Insideevs.com notes that the design of the layout looks original, but at the same time is designed in the recognizable style of Lucid. It is possible that the startup will hint at the appearance of another model in the near future – for example, during measurements of the Gravity at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

It is known about the latter that it will share the platform with the Air and will receive a new Lucid multimedia complex with Glass Cockpit high-definition screens and a modernized interface. According to preliminary data, the Gravity’s range will be at the same level as the sedan – 832 kilometers according to the EPA cycle. It will probably share a three-motor power plant with the sedan.

Gravity will be produced at a plant in Casa Grande, Arizona, USA, where Lucid Air is already assembled. Shipment of vehicles to customers will begin in 2024, prices have not yet been announced.
