The model, like other Kaiyi cars for the Russian market, is assembled at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. The X7 Kunlun, named after China’s Kunlun mountain range, is a mid-size crossover with a sporty design and a fairly wide range of equipment. In Russia, the model will be sold with a choice of two engines with a power of 186 and 238 horsepower and will compete with the Chery Tiggo 8. Prices have not yet been announced.

The design of the X7 Kunlun is made in accordance with current Chinese trends – the crossover has a large frameless X-shaped radiator grille, retractable door handles and a panoramic roof. And the spoiler, four exhaust pipes and diffuser hint at the “sporty” nature of the model. Inside, there is a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.6-inch multimedia system screen. There are two wireless chargers and a logo projection on the asphalt when the door is opened.

Dynamic characteristics are not provided, but there is information about the engines. There are two of them, and both of them run on gasoline: the volume of the first is 1.6 liters, it develops 186 horsepower and is combined with a seven-speed “robot”. The second engine is two-liter, its power is 238 horsepower, the gearbox is the same.

The new product has not yet appeared on the official Kaiyi website, so today the brand’s line in Russia consists of three models. This is the E5 sedan, the recommended prices for which start from 2.19 million rubles, as well as the X3 and X3 Pro crossovers, which cost 2.23 and 2.5 million rubles, respectively.

The Kaiyi brand was created by Chery and two Chinese state funds in 2014, and under this name, restyled Chery models are sold in China. For example, Kaiyi X3 and its Pro version are Tiggo 4 Pro, and X7 Kunlun is Tiggo 8.
