Details have emerged online about a new electric sedan called Lingxi L from a joint venture between Dongfeng and Honda. The new concept car was first unveiled at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, and the first images of the production model appeared in March courtesy of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Under the sharp body of the Lingxi L is a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 59.22 kWh. This relatively compact battery drives a single electric motor on the front axle producing 215 hp, which is enough to propel the car to a top speed of 160 km/h.

The interior of the Lingxi L is dominated by a digital panel, which houses not one, not two, but five screens at once. These include the digital instrument cluster displays, the central infotainment display, the passenger screen and two screens for the rear view cameras. Dongfeng-Honda also equipped the electric car with a head-up display.

Prices and configurations of the new product have not yet been announced. It is known that by 2025, the Dongfeng-Honda model line will consist of 50% electrified cars, and from 2027 the company will stop producing cars with internal combustion engines.
