The new product is called X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo and was created for the game series of the same name. The concept is driven by a power plant consisting of a supercharged six with a power of 870 horsepower and a 670-horsepower electric motor. Well, the X Gran Racer is based on last year’s X Gran Berlinetta show car, which received a strengthened body, revised aerodynamics and interior design.

The Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo concept debuted at the Busan International Mobility Show. The new product is announced as part of the Magma program and will appear in the Gran Turismo series of games. As planned, it is powered by a Lambda II V6 racing engine, complemented by a 48-volt eS/C electric supercharger. The unit produces 870 horsepower and 1071 Nm of torque and is paired with an electric motor on the front axle, which develops 670 horsepower and 305 Nm. The combined output is 1540 forces and 1425 Nm, but not a word is said about the dynamic characteristics.

Gran Racer is based on last year’s X Gran Berlinetta. The aerodynamics of the original superhybrid were improved and racing gadgets were added, such as an enlarged splitter and a huge wing with a stabilizer fin. The interior now has an integrated safety cage and additional struts, and the doors have reinforced crossbars. All structural elements of the body are exposed, although the areas with which the driver will somehow come into contact are trimmed with a material reminiscent of Alcantara. The steering wheel has become even more elaborate, and the multimedia has acquired a new Digital Panorama interface.

Of course, there are no production prospects for the Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo. Its task is to draw attention to the line of “charged” Magma models, which will become conditional competitors of BMW M and Mercedes-AMG. So far, two such models have been presented: the electric GV60 Magma and the G80 EV Magma.
