The German studio AC Schnitzer, which usually specializes in modifying BMW cars, has presented a modernization program for the latest generation GR Supra sports car. The thing is that technically the Toyota coupe is an analogue of the BMW Z4 roadster, and for the German model the company has long been offering a program to improve performance and appearance. And in the case of the GR Supra, the German tuner updated the engine, suspension, exterior and interior.

AC Schnitzer offers modifications for both versions of the coupe. The 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine gains power from the original 340 horsepower and 500 Newton-meters to 400 horsepower and 600 Nm, while the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine increases power from 258 horsepower and 400 Newton-meters to 300 “horses” and 470 Nm.

Toyota Supra and BMW Z4 will retire in 2026

Toyota owners can also order a stainless steel exhaust system with carbon fiber tips, but the most significant upgrade is the new adjustable suspension with active shock absorbers that offer manual compression and rebound adjustment. These new coilovers promise to change handling for the better. If owners don’t want to install coilovers, AC Schnitzer also sells lowering springs.

The sports car is available with several 20-inch and 21-inch wheels, as well as a body kit. A carbon fiber wing and front splitter are announced, as well as an optional carbon fiber flap that can be added to the wing. Changes inside the car are minor, with new aluminum pedals, a new infotainment display controller and a key holder located in one of the cup holders.
