By the beginning of next year, the model range of the Chinese brand, part of the Chery Holding Group conglomerate, will be replenished with five new products, the Chinese Cars website reports, citing an adjusted product plan. One of them will be a version of the T2 all-wheel drive crossover with a classic hydromechanical automatic transmission, whereas now its two-liter engine is combined only with a seven-speed dual-clutch robot.

Jetour T2 will get an eight-speed automatic transmission of mother Chery’s own design with the FA840 index. This box with a torque converter has been produced since 2022, and now it can be found, for example, on the Exeed TXL and Chery Arrizo 8.

It will soon appear on the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in China. The automatic can “digest” up to 400 Nm of torque, and it will be combined with the already familiar 2.0 turbo four with a capacity of 245 horsepower (375 Nm).
