Japanese dealers will soon have minivans in the 50th Anniversary configuration. The new product will be on sale for only five months: from October 10, 2023 to March 10, 2024. There are few distinctive features: anti-chrome, original nameplates, stitching on the headrests and copper accents in the interior. The equipment is expanded, but the price is low: a special Nissan Caravan costs from 3,484,700 yen (2.3 million rubles).

The fifth-generation Nissan Caravan has been in service since 2011, and there were two planned restylings: in 2017 and 2021. The basis for the anniversary special version was a passenger minivan with a standard roof, low floor and extended wheelbase in the Grand Premium GX version. There are no restrictions on technology.

Customers can choose between a Nissan 2.0-liter petrol engine (130 horsepower, 178 Nm) and a licensed Mitsubishi turbodiesel (132 horsepower, 370 Nm). Rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, transmission – 7-speed automatic. The anniversary Caravan has electrically adjustable mirrors, a surround-view camera and Nissan Intelligent Mobility active safety systems.

The top-end Nissan Caravan 50th Anniversary with four-wheel drive and a diesel engine costs 4,453,900 yen (2.92 million rubles) in Japan. The well-deserved minivan is not going to retire, but there are no rumors about an imminent change of generations, although the main rival – Toyota Hiace – has recently been globally modernized.
