As the Moscow Department of Transport reports on its Telegram channel, in honor of National Unity Day, parking fees will be abolished in Moscow. Parking will be free for motorists on Saturday 4 November and Monday 6 November. This applies to all city streets, including areas with increased tariffs of 380 and 450 rubles per hour.

On Sunday, November 5, normal Sunday hours will remain in effect. That is, drivers will be able to park their cars for free only on some streets. Parking in areas with increased tariffs will remain paid on this day.

The Department of Transport also noted that parking lots with barriers will operate as before on these days.

The fine for unpaid parking in Moscow is five thousand rubles. You can challenge it in the general manner within 10 days.

Earlier, authorities announced an increase in the cost of paid parking and car evacuation. Starting October 15, the price for towing cars of violators has increased, and starting November 7, parking rates will be adjusted. On some streets parking will become cheaper, but on most streets it will become more expensive. Also, in some places paid parking will appear for the first time – “at the request of local residents.”
