An advertisement for the sale of a Tesla Model 3 Long Range electric car, converted into a hearse, appeared on Avito. From the description it follows that the range of the 2022 electric car is only 135 kilometers, it has rear-wheel drive, a 271-horsepower electric motor and a battery with a capacity of 75 kilowatt-hours, which provides up to 425 kilometers. The seller is ready to bring the car from Germany in two to four weeks, and the hearse will cost 15,990,000 rubles (fixed price).

The Dutch company Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit is converting the Tesla Model 3 into a hearse, as indicated by the dies in place of the license plates. This car has an elongated body with a compartment for a coffin and additional compartments for ritual equipment, a raised roof and a large glass area at the rear. Other equipment includes electric curtains that can be lowered to hide the coffin from prying eyes, and ceiling lighting that imitates a starry sky. The hearse measures 5.56 meters in length, which is 866 millimeters longer than the standard Model 3.

It is worth noting that this is not the first hearse based on the Tesla Model 3 from Derks, which has gone on sale in Russia in recent weeks. At the beginning of summer, the same seller offered to buy a similar car, but in a different color and with a shorter power reserve (Model 3 Standard Range Plus version) for 16.6 million rubles.

The Russian Aurus Senat limousine is also being converted into a hearse; this car is called a “Lafet”. It has a half-meter insert, but the body is original, with three doors. The engine, chassis and gearbox are the same as the standard model. At least one of several “Lafets” produced by NAMI was registered on June 27, 2023, and according to the identification number XKN091000L1000053 and the open database of OSAGO insurance policies, it was possible to find out that its owner is the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
