The average price in this segment on the secondary market increased by 30.3 percent in the third quarter of 2023, reaching 1.499 million rubles, Izvestia writes, citing a study by Avito Auto. Sales also increased by about a third – by 31.5 percent. The championship is held by the domestic Lada Niva, which accounted for 6.8 percent of sales in the segment. Its average price is 289 thousand rubles.

Chevrolet Niva is in second place after Lada Niva in sales on the Russian secondary market. Its share was 4.4 percent, and the average cost was 425 thousand rubles. Third place went to Kia Sportage with a 3.8 percent share and a price of 690 thousand, fourth to Toyota RAV4 (2.8 percent and 1.998 million), fifth to Volkswagen Tiguan (2.6 percent and 1.7 million rubles).

In addition to them, the top ten best-selling crossovers and used SUVs included Hyundai Santa Fe (2.5 percent), Nissan Qashqai (2.4 percent), BMW X5 (2.3 percent), Nissan X-Trail (2.2 percent) and Mitsubishi Outlander (2.2 percent).

In general, the share of sales in the SUV segment in the used car market from July to September this year amounted to 22.8 percent. Over the year it increased by three percent.

Earlier, AvtoVAZ spoke about record sales of new Ladas. In September, Russians bought 6,231 passenger and commercial vehicles of the brand, which is 8.7 percent more than in August and the maximum over the past two years. Granta remained the bestseller with 19,913 units sold.
