The brand’s new products will be the J7 and J8 models. Representatives of the brand reported that sales of the J8 petrol crossover will be postponed from November this year to February next year. Today in Russia you can buy the Jaecoo J7, sales of which officially started at the end of September 2023.
In terms of technical details and dimensions, the Jaecoo J7 is completely identical to the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. The crossover is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine, the output of which is 186 horsepower, and a seven-speed “robot” with two “wet” clutches. The cost of the model, taking into account maximum discounts, ranges from 2,999,900 to 3,409,900 rubles.
Next year, the same crossover in a hybrid version will appear in Russia. In addition, the Chinese brand will expand its range with the J8 model, which it presented last April at the Shanghai Motor Show under the name Jaecoo 9. The car can be driven by power plants with a capacity of 254 or 261 horsepower, operating on the basis of two-liter engines and an electric motor. Transmission options will be a seven-speed robot or an eight-speed automatic.
In mid-April, Chery planned to expand its own model range in Russia with several hybrid cars. At the same time, representatives of the Chinese brand promised to organize an “automobile revolution” in the Russian market.
