The Stroytekhimport company won a lawsuit against Hyundai Engineering Rus, the Russian legal entity of the South Korean automaker. The Russian company filed a lawsuit demanding to pay it 146 million rubles for the construction of a plant for the production of gasoline engines. The companies signed the initial contract four years ago, but then disputes arose between the partners regarding the scope of work.

Back in May 2020, Stroytekhimport signed an official contract with a South Korean company for the installation of metal structures at the new plant. Later, the parties had disagreements, within the framework of which they reached informal agreements.

The primary conflict regarding payment arose back in 2021 – then the Russian company went to court with a demand to pay it 166 million rubles (along with fines for late payment), but after three years of consideration of the case, the court reduced the amount of payment to 146.1 million rubles.

In early June, a Moscow court rejected a claim against the French holding Renault Group for 534 million rubles. The claim was filed by a Russian dealer who believed that he lost 12 million rubles from the early termination of the contract, and he estimated lost profits at another 522 million rubles.
