A new modification, Preface Dragon Edition, has entered the Chinese market and costs 99,700 yuan ($13.8 thousand). Simplifications relative to the previous basic version boil down to the abandonment of front parking sensors and a 540-degree all-round camera, a reduction in the number of radars (from 8 to 4), and a transition to mechanical adjustments of the driver’s seat.

For Russians, the simplification of the Geely Preface is interesting because such a sedan should officially appear in our country before the end of the year. We will likely be offered a non-hybrid version of the 2023 model with a four-cylinder 1.5-liter engine, and there will be no top-end variants with a portrait-oriented touchscreen.

New Geely Atlas: design above all Geely Emgrand. For those who want the good old stuff, Geely is preparing nine new products in 2024

Geely Preface is a 4.8-meter business sedan on the CMA platform, familiar from the new Atlas. In China, two versions of traditional gasoline turbo-fours are available: the base 1.5-liter engine produces 181 horsepower (290 Nm), the alternative 2.0-liter engine produces 190 horsepower and 300 Nm. In both cases, the drive is only front-wheel drive, and traction is transmitted through a 7-speed preselective “robot”.

This week, the Russian office of Geely launched a unique version of Atlas on the market: the second-generation crossover, for the first time in the world, received an all-wheel drive transmission and a classic 8-speed automatic transmission. In other markets, the new product is content with front-wheel drive and a “robot”.
