Kia will update the small crossover Sonet. The restyled version for the Indian market will be presented in mid-December, and then the model will appear in China. The Sonnet will have its front and rear design changed, and minor changes will be made to the interior design. The range of engines will likely remain the same. Before the update, the crossover was equipped with naturally aspirated gasoline engines, three-cylinder turbo engines, and diesel engines.

The Kia Sonet subcompact crossover is getting ready for an update. The Kia India website posted a darkened image of the restyled car, as well as a short video in which you can see its interior. Externally, the Sonet now resembles the K3 model. He got headlights with “smudges”, a radiator grille with a three-dimensional pattern, and other bumpers and lights. At first glance, nothing has changed inside the cabin. Unless the digital instrumentation now has hand-drawn scales.

There is no information about the range of engines for the updated Sonet. There is a high probability that it will remain the same, therefore, these will be 1.2 naturally aspirated petrol engines (83 hp, 115 Nm), 1.0 T-GDI turbocharged engines (120 hp, 172 Nm) or 1.5 CRDi diesel engines ( 115 hp, 144 Nm). Transmissions: five-speed manual, iMT transmission with electronic clutch, six-speed automatic and seven-speed robot with two clutches. In China, another “aspirated” engine has been announced – 1.5 (115 hp, 144 Nm) paired with a “mechanics” or a CVT. Front-wheel drive only.

The Sonet is the second model after the Seltos to be “designed in India for the world”. In the local lineup, the subcompact ranks below the Seltos and until recently cost from 779,000 rupees, or about 840 thousand rubles.
