Parking on a slope is a common occurrence for many car owners in our country. Moreover, current traffic rules do not prohibit it, however, with such a maneuver you need to be prepared for certain risks. The driving instructor decided to talk about them in an interview with the portal cenyavto.com.

Contrary to popular belief, parking on a slope does not usually cause your engine to run out of oil. Modern technologies are able to protect a car from these consequences of parking it on a slope. Likewise, concerns about brake problems caused by parking on slopes are largely unfounded. These stories discussed online often have no basis in fact.

However, parking on a slope places uneven stress on the vehicle’s suspension, which can lead to wear, especially on the shock absorbers and anti-roll bars. Chassis components such as boots and rubber joints can become deformed over time, especially if the vehicle is overloaded or its components are worn out.

Although rare, parking on slopes could theoretically affect fluid levels, potentially causing a squeeze-out effect in extreme cases. Not having enough gas in the tank can lead to starting problems because fuel can “hide” from the gauge or fuel pump when parked at an angle.
