The US tuning studio Hennessey Performance, which is famous for its fairly powerful cars based on models from American brands, has announced a new project – the H850 Mustang Dark Horse. As the name implies, the base was the latest generation Ford coupe of the flagship factory modification – the new product clearly claims to be one of the most powerful variants of the S650 generation model. The drive supercharger provides the iconic sports car with a noticeable increase in power.

The “dark horse” under the hood has a 5.0-liter gasoline V8 of the Coyote family, which produces 500 horsepower. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, which, even in stock form, is attractive to performance fans. But experts from Texas went further.

Hennessey began producing a 1000-horsepower Ford F-150 Raptor superpickup

Hennessey adds a mechanically driven supercharger, a high-performance air intake system, upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump, and Hennessey’s carefully engineered engine management system to the sports car.

These changes were enough to increase the power of the unit by 70 percent – to 850 horsepower, and also increase torque to 650 Newton meters. In addition, H850 owners can visually enhance their Dark Horse with signature Hennessey Heritage Graphics and anthracite-colored forged wheels. Each model features Hennessey and H850 badges, embroidered Hennessey emblems on the seat headrests and an engine serial number plate.
