Designed in an experimental style, the Prototype X SUV received a carbon fiber hood, a stylish double spoiler and forged wheels with a diameter of 22 inches. All this is accompanied by a leather interior in Tiffany’s signature shade. And such a Defender costs more than 100 thousand pounds.

The London workshop Chelsea Truck Company, part of the Kahn group of companies, showed another project based on the Land Rover Defender. The Prototype X SUV was created in one copy and demonstrates experimental styling that has not yet been used anywhere. All this is presented as a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of the creative process, and the car can be bought – it was valued at 105 thousand pounds sterling, or 11.9 million rubles.

The basis of the project is the Defender 90 P400 X-Dynamic with a 3.0 inline six petrol engine (400 hp, 550 Nm) and an eight-speed automatic transmission. From the Chelsea Truck Company, the SUV received a carbon fiber hood with a wide air intake slit, a rear V-shaped spoiler, additional LED lighting units on the roof, a completely new front bumper, and a grille trim that visually reduces the headlights. Additionally, the Prototype X features a leather interior that’s close to Tiffany’s 1837 Blue and 22-inch wheels.

Earlier, parent Kahn presented an even more unusual variation of the Defender, called the Flying Huntsman 90 Spyder. These SUVs will have a soft, removable roof and elegant rear fairings made by hand from aluminum alloy. The first copies will be shown in the second quarter of 2024, limiting the annual production to eight pieces. It takes the studio about six months to make one car, but customers can order forged wheels for it with a design developed to their own specifications.
