At the Beijing Motor Show they showed a new product from Chery, which should go on sale on the Russian market. The Chery Tiggo 9 2025 is expected to appear this year. However, its “twin”, the Jaecoo J8, is already on sale. How then will cars identical to each other share space in the car market? With the debut of “Tiggo 9” PLUG-iN HYBRiD, the situation became clearer.
The new product will receive an ultra-performance hybrid system C-DM from Kunpeng. In terms of appearance, the “nine” will differ from the Jaecoo J8 crossover. The fact is that the export version of the model has acquired an original appearance – it will be presented on the Russian market. Instead of a radiator grille, this version of the crossover has a closed panel with a spectacular pattern formed by concentrated circles extending from the center. The screen of the multimedia complex and the “tidy” are installed separately from each other. In addition, the controls on the transmission tunnel have a different layout, and the deflectors also look different. It is based on a 238-horsepower turbo engine (385 Nm), which works in tandem with an 8-automatic transmission and a 3DHT hybrid transmission, producing 224 hp. Fuel consumption – 5.2 l/100 km, total range – 1400 km. Sales should begin in the fourth quarter of 2024, and the estimated cost will start at 3.9 million rubles.
