Elon Musk demonstrated the dynamics of the new supertruck in an original video. At a distance of a quarter mile, the top version of the Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast competed as part of a road train with a Porsche 911 (992) on a trailer. The reference point was a similar Porsche 911 (992): it is not directly stated, but it looks like we are talking about a Carrera 4 with a 380-horsepower engine and all-wheel drive.

The production Tesla Cybertruck debuted yesterday. The top three-engine version with 845 horsepower costs $100,000. Acceleration from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) is claimed to take 2.6 seconds, and the truck will cover the quarter mile in 11 seconds. The maximum weight of a towed trailer is five tons!

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 in the US starts at $121,700. This coupe has a six-cylinder 3.0-liter turbo engine (384 horsepower, 449 Nm), a robotic gearbox, all-wheel drive and a curb weight of 1,570 kilograms. It is easy to calculate that the Tesla Cybertruck with a curb weight of 3107 kilograms as part of a road train weighs almost five tons. Despite the impressive handicap, the duel turned out to be spectacular!

This is not the first time Elon Musk has emphasized the advantages of the Tesla Cybertruck, comparing the electric pickup truck with other well-known cars. Four years ago, a Tesla prototype fought a tug-of-war with a Ford F-150.

The bright future of the truck is limited only by Tesla’s production capacity: over two million pre-orders have been collected, but full assembly will start only next year, and the Texas plant will reach full capacity in 2025.
