Genesis’ sports sub-brand called Magma returns with a new creation, but unlike previous versions, the new product has a blue rather than orange body color. According to Genesis, blue is a symbol of the hottest part of the fire, which is why this color is so suitable for a “charged” electric car.

Does this mean the G80 EV Magma Concept is the brand’s fastest car? It’s impossible to say for sure yet. Making its debut at the Auto China show in Beijing, Genesis talked about suspension upgrades, more efficient brakes and changes to the appearance of the new electric car. But the company keeps the dynamics figures secret.

The production electric sedan has a pair of electric motors with a total output of 365 horsepower, but the G80 Magma is rumored to have about 500 horsepower.

It should be noted that this is not the first G80 sedan to focus on performance and performance: earlier this year, Genesis announced a limited edition model for the Middle East market called the Magma Special.

This model had a 500-horsepower 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. It would also be worth recalling that the first electric version of Magma was the GV60, which debuted at the end of March at the New York Auto Show.
