Toyota has launched its own line of TRD-style clothing
Toyota has released its own line of clothing in the retro style of the 1970s in collaboration with the street fashion brand HUF. This collection celebrates Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and its rich history.
Like other automakers, Toyota produces branded accessories that help emphasize membership in the community of owners of a particular brand. The new HUF x TRD line features apparel and accessories in colorways and graphics inspired by the livery of 1970s race cars. According to Toyota, the collection is based on hand-made illustrations in a retro style and is stylized to resemble the clothing of racers and mechanics of those years. It adds a unique off-road touch to modern silhouettes and styles.
The line includes fleece sweaters, T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, pants, baseball caps and other items. In addition to clothing, the companies released a special promotional Tundra pickup truck in the HUF x TRD Pro design. Thus, this collaboration combines the history of Toyota’s racing success with current street fashion trends.
