The main innovation is two screens of the same size, which are combined into one cluster, like the K5. From the latter, Carnival also inherited touch control of the climate system. In addition, the model is promised improved sound insulation. Along with the publication of photographs of the interior, Kia also declassified the hybrid modification of the Carnival.
Externally, the new Carnival differs from the pre-restyling one in the design of the front and rear optics, a different radiator grille and different bumpers. In general, the minivan began to resemble the Sorento crossover. There will be only two versions to choose from, for seven and nine seats, but the 11-seater car has been excluded from the line-up. Among the unusual options, we can note a compartment in the armrest between the front seats with disinfection by ultraviolet rays. The minivan will also have a central airbag.

A hybrid installation based on a 1.6-liter internal combustion engine with a capacity of 245 horsepower is also announced. The usual fuel modifications remain the same – a petrol engine with a 3.5-liter six producing 294 horsepower and a diesel engine with a unit developing 194 horsepower.
According to preliminary data, prices for the new product will start at 34,700,000 won (2.45 million rubles), that is, it will be several hundred thousand more expensive than the pre-reform model. The hybrid can cost at least 39,250,000 won (2.77 million rubles).
The current fourth-generation Carnival with the factory index KA4 has been on sale since 2020. The minivan is based on the same platform as the Kia Sorento. In South Korea, the model is quite successful: in 2022, Koreans bought 59,058 of these cars, and in ten months of this year – already 58,700 copies.
