This is a model of the Venucia brand, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Nissan, launched back in 2010. Its new model is the VX6 crossover, slightly larger than the Toyota RAV4, the first in the Venucia line to receive an all-electric powertrain. The brand plans to release two new cars annually and increase annual sales volume, first to 300 thousand units, and subsequently to half a million.
The Venucia VX6 is the production version of the Venucia Ve concept car, which was unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December 2022. The electric car was built on its own chassis for “green” Dongfeng Nissan cars with battery cells integrated into the power structure (the so-called Cell-To-Chassis technology, or CTC). The STS increases battery space by 18.9 percent while reducing body weight by 14.8 percent.

The VX6’s lithium iron phosphate traction battery was provided by China’s CATL, but its capacity and range were not disclosed. The electrical system operates at 800 volts and supports charging at up to 480 kilowatts: with its help, the energy reserve can be increased from 20 to 80 percent in 10 minutes.
The 4.6-meter crossover has a double-wishbone suspension at the front and a five-link at the rear. The car is driven by a 218-horsepower electric motor. The maximum speed is only 165 kilometers per hour.
The VX6 became the second model of the V family. In July, the hybrid V Online was introduced, capable of driving up to 110 kilometers on electric power. The total range is 1132 kilometers. The starting price of V Online is lower than that of the Russian Haval Jolion: it ranges from 16,400 to 20,700 dollars, which is equal to 1.6-2 million rubles.
The Venucia recently made it to the top of JD Power’s list of the best performing Chinese cars. Geely became the leader, and Dongfeng’s subsidiary Nissan managed to take seventh place between Haval and Lynk&Co.
