Remember the times when most brands didn’t even think about making crossovers? But most buyers could not imagine that one day they would switch to the Chinese auto industry? Welcome to 2023, and this is the Livan brand, new for Russia, which consists of two-thirds crossovers and is produced in the Middle Kingdom. By the way, it is pronounced not Lebanon, like a country in the Middle East, but Lieven. And we managed to get acquainted with its latest model Livan X6 Pro. And there were a lot of surprises that you wouldn’t expect to see in this segment.

Just look at the third and smallest screen on the front panel, which complements the electronic instrumentation and multimedia touchscreen. It turns out that the Chinese figured out how to create a quick access menu to the main functions while the main screen is busy with navigation. You can display any application from your smartphone on the touchscreen of the multimedia system. The seats are massive buckets, as if this is not a crossover for everyday driving, but a supercar. In general, the new product is unusual, but once you open its hood, the familiar roots of the Livan brand appear on their own. We’ll talk about this in the new video about the X6 Pro.

Do you want to keep up to date with Russian news? We tested the Lada Vesta Sportline: a simplified sports Vesta, which has a chassis, body kit and interior from the Sport, but “no engine”. And here you can see how serial crossovers are brought to the standards of all-terrain vehicles – we have collected brutal performances of models not intended for off-road use. /m
