Drivers were reminded of new fines from December 1, 2023 for non-seasonal tires
With the onset of cold weather, it is time for motorists to take care of timely replacement of summer tires with winter ones. As the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol reminds, the deadline for such “re-shoeing” expires on December 1.
According to the head of the supervision department of the local State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, Evgeniy Tokarev, from this year there are strict requirements for the seasonality of tires. In particular, it is prohibited to use winter studded tires in the summer (June-August), and in the cold period (December-February) – to drive cars and small trucks without winter tires. For the absence of winter tires, a fine of 500 rubles or a warning was introduced from September 1.
Thus, with the onset of cold weather, motorists in Sevastopol and other regions should take care of the timely installation of winter tires. Otherwise, the use of summer tires is fraught with both danger on the road and very real penalties.
