According to Renault, thanks to the seven individual seats, 1,024 different configurations are available. The Grand Kangoo is also named one of the most spacious cars in its class with the best third-row legroom.
Renault presented the practical Kangoo with seven seats at the IAA Mobility exhibition in Munich. Three second-row seats and two third-row seats are removed, and the front passenger seat folds down to increase trunk volume from the original 500 liters to 3,750 liters. In this case, an object up to 3.11 meters long can be loaded into the cabin.
Five seats can not only be removed, but also folded, as well as moved forward and backward. This gives the variety of configurations that Renault promises. All seats are equipped with ISOFIX mounts, and access to the third row is facilitated by a sliding door that is larger than the standard Kangoo size – 83 centimeters wide versus 65.

In addition, a lot of storage space is distributed throughout the cabin: their total volume is 58 liters. Grand Kangoo will be available with a glass or hinged rear door, which is more convenient for loading long items. The equipment list includes a rear-view camera, heated front seats and steering wheel, and an EasyLink media system.
The range of engines includes petrol, diesel and electric options with a capacity of 130, 95 and 121 horsepower, respectively. The latter is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 45 kilowatt-hours and travels without recharging up to 265 kilometers, and you can add energy for 170 kilometers in 27 minutes from a DC device.
The manufacturer will start accepting orders for the “long” Kangoo at the end of 2023, and deliveries will start at the beginning of the next. The assembly will be arranged at the plant in Maubeuge, France.
