Yandex presented highly detailed navigation maps with markings
A highly detailed map from Yandex is now available for Russian drivers. The company recently announced a major update to its map service, which will provide access to a new generation of Yandex Maps and Yandex Navigator applications, which now feature detailed markings.
The peculiarity is that the roads are displayed in them as in reality – with markings, buildings in 3D format, parking spaces and traffic islands. This will allow drivers to navigate the terrain faster, even if GPS fails, making travel easier. At this stage, the update is available to motorists in Moscow and a number of other large cities. When following a given route, the trajectory will be displayed in such a way that the driver can move around the city as comfortably as possible (photo: Yandex).
The updated service will allow you to change lanes in advance to make a turn, and the displayed buildings will act as additional landmarks. Services will be able to use the new camera to select more events on the road. The company will further optimize services, continuing to make maps even more detailed.
