According to the publication Gazeta.Ru, the last copies of the models remained in stock at the dealer of the German brand from Magnitogorsk. In September, the car dealership put up for sale the two remaining cars, for which buyers were found almost immediately. Kaluga-assembled Polo sedans have been produced since 2010.

The manager of a Volkswagen dealership in Magnitogorsk said that last week specialists sold their last two cars. There are no more new sedans assembled in Kaluga in stock. The seller offered the remaining models in the Respect configuration for 2.1 million rubles.

Earlier, the Russian representative office of the German concern reported about the shortage of Volkswagen Polo in the country. The car plant in Kaluga has been producing sedans since 2010. Liftbacks appeared on the domestic market in 2020. Last year the company stopped production in Russia.

At the beginning of July, stocks of official cars from BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Cadillac, as well as Volvo and Chevrolet ran out in Russia. Chinese brands have replaced European models.
