Today’s pick-up market is saturated – dominated by the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux, with a host of other models in high demand among buyers ranging from construction site workers to families. Independent designer Theottle decided to imagine what a pickup truck based on the Suzuki Jimny 2024 could look like and created renderings on this topic.

Unlike the large Jeep Gladiator, which is based on the Wrangler, this variant of the Jimny should be more compact and therefore more manageable. Theottle showed sketches of an adapted Jimny design for a two-row pickup truck. The key change was the addition of a loading platform, which would probably measure around one meter. To do this, the rear of the body would have to be completely redesigned, including the lights located in the Jimny’s bumper. Additionally, the tailgate would disappear and the rear wheel axle would move further back, increasing the base to balance out the proportions. From the original Jimny we see that only the front part has been preserved. The result is a harmonious and balanced design.

Such a solution could bring new breath to the compact pickup segment. At the same time, the combination of compact dimensions, high cross-country ability and practicality of the cargo compartment will definitely arouse the interest of many buyers. (photo: www.whichcar.com.au, Theottle)
