Every year there are more and more cars with a power of 1000 horsepower, but in addition to production models with such a power unit output, there are also tuning cars whose engines, after modifications, produce many times more than initially. Bloggers of the Carwow channel pitted just such models in a race in a straight line – the standard Tesla Model S Plaid and the highly modified Porsche 911 Turbo S and BMW M5 Competition. It turned out to be a battle of cars with internal combustion engines of approximately equal power, whose rival was a powerful electric car.

The Plaid version of the Tesla Model S includes three electric motors, which together provide 1020 horsepower and 1420 Nm of torque. This sedan weighs 2200 kilograms.

The upgraded Porsche 911 Turbo S has 1011 hp in its arsenal. and 1000 Nm, which were removed from a significantly modernized 3.8-liter flat-6 turbo engine. The coupe weighs 1650 kilograms. The BMW M5 Competition sedan is heavier – 1850 kilograms – but also more powerful. After tuning, it was possible to remove 1000 horsepower and 1100 Nm from the 4.4-liter turbocharged V8.
