At least, this is what representatives of the Sinomach company say, which organized the supply of Paladins to the Russian market. The start of sales is scheduled for January 2024, prices have already been announced: Oting Paladin can be purchased from official Sinomach dealers for 3.8-4.5 million rubles. The model will be offered with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and it will have four trim levels.

Sinomach itself produces industrial equipment in China, but the company has a five-year distribution agreement with Zhengzhou Nissan, which allows it to transport cars built on the Japanese automaker’s platform to Russia. The first of these will be the Oting Paladin based on the Nissan Terra: it is a 4.8-meter crossover (like the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport), equipped with a 2.0-liter Mitsubishi turbodiesel. The engine develops 228 horsepower and works in tandem with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Paladin has a double-wishbone independent suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. The basic version has rear-wheel drive, while the others have all-wheel drive.

There will be four trim levels to choose from: “Deluxe” for 3,799,000 rubles (this crossover has rear-wheel drive), “Premium” worth 4,249,000 rubles (all-wheel drive, like other versions), “Intelligence” for 4,399,000 rubles and “Prestige” for 4,499,000 rubles.

Over the next year, other models under the Oting brand will appear on the Russian market: a pickup truck (apparently an analogue of the Navara) will be released in the third quarter, and a full-size SUV will be released in the fourth quarter. The launch of a pickup truck powered by new energy sources is planned for 2025 and is expected in the second quarter.
