This car is based on the Tata Harrier platform, which in turn is based on the modernized Land Rover Discovery. But the Swift is not a complete copy of the Indian prototype – this is an important difference. However, by providing US with their proven platform and modern engines, the Indians will minimize the risks of falling under sanctions. Russian engineers will develop a unique body for the Swift.
