The Moskvich plant was opened a year ago: what cars are produced there now

The Moskvich plant was launched a year ago – November 23, 2022. It was opened on the basis of the Renault company that left the Russian market. The first to roll off the production line was the Moskvich 3 crossover, which is based on the Jak JS4. During this time, the cost of the model increased from 1.97 to 2.22 million rubles. Currently, the production line includes three cars, including an electric version of the aforementioned SUV with the index “3e”. The price for a battery-powered crossover over the year rose from 3.5 to 3.95 million, coming very close to the mark of 4 million rubles.

However, now a discount of about one million rubles maximum has begun to apply to this model. Recently, the Moskvich 6 in a liftback body went on sale. They offer to purchase it for 2.62 million rubles for the basic version. Of the thirty-one thousand cars produced per year under the revived brand, less than twelve thousand have been sold so far. All models are based on Chinese Jak cars. Now they are manufactured using the large-knot method, but then production will be localized. The company plans to launch Moskvich 5 and Moskvich 8 into production in 2024 (photo: Moskvich).
