The model for Europe received a new powertrain and multimedia, as well as improved sound insulation and a new top version of the Premiere Edition. This Yaris Cross is distinguished by rich equipment, exclusive body paint and specially designed wheels.
The European Yaris Cross, following the regular Yaris, has acquired a new hybrid power plant, the Hybrid 130. The layout and technical system is solved as before, that is, it has a base in the form of a 1.5 turbocharged engine, an electric motor and a CVT. But the entire transmission part is new, plus the power control unit has been recalibrated. The output is 132 forces instead of 116; 185 Nm instead of 141. Increase in traction – 30 percent! The Yaris Cross now accelerates to the first hundred in 10.7 seconds (-0.5 s), and from 80 to 120 kilometers per hour in 8.9 (-0.4 s).

Only expensive versions will be equipped with the new hybrid system: GR Sport and the new Premiere Edition. The younger versions remained at their 116 horsepower, but sound insulation has improved on all Yaris Crosses. The glass (windshield and side) became thicker, three-layer noise-absorbing mats appeared inside the front panel, and a dynamic damper was installed on the left engine mount. Finally, the crossover received an upgraded Toyota Smart Connect multimedia (different hardware and graphics), an expanded set of T-Mate active security systems and a Smart Digital Key.

The top-end Yaris Cross Premiere Edition features an exclusive Urban Khaki exterior color and specially designed 18-inch wheels. The updated crossovers will have different seat upholstery and soft covering on the lower part of the front panel. A new shade will appear in the palette – Juniper Blue. Final model specifications will be announced ahead of launch. Order acceptance will open any day now, but only in some European countries. No prices yet.
