As Quto writes, the assembly process for models of the SGR family – the oldest cars in the Russian automotive industry – has been improved: a new filling station has appeared on the production line, with the help of which the engine cooling system is filled with antifreeze. The station is able to automatically determine the type of “Loaf” located on the conveyor, after which it issues the required dosage of coolant.

The new station on the Bukhanki line is equipped with a vacuum filling system, thanks to which the engine cooling system is filled with maximum efficiency. There is also a checklist to monitor the correctness of the process.

The same stations are already on the production line of new UAZ models – Patriot and Pickup. In the near future, another one will appear on the SGR line to replace the first one during maintenance.

At the beginning of September, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant launched production of the anniversary “Loaf”, the appearance of which was timed to coincide with the 65th anniversary of the classic UAZ-450 model of 1958. The special truck received bright body colors, water-repellent seat upholstery, white double stitching and an anti-slip floor covering.

In addition, UAZ announced an update to the Patriot SUV. The flagship will change both outside and inside, and will acquire a Chinese diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
