The custom truck is the creation of the Chuy RMZ workshop, and so far there are only two short-wheelbase variants. The red RAM TRX has been radically modernized: the owner wanted to remove the front driveshaft to make it more convenient to spin donuts and burn rubber. Other modifications: a reduction in the wheelbase, coupled with inserts into the frame, cabin and body. The 6.2-liter V8 powertrain remains unchanged.

Chuy RMZ social networks do not have a complete customization process for the two-door RAM TRX, that is, the project has not been disclosed for certain. If the craftsmen simply cut out a piece of the frame, removed two doors from the cab and shortened the cargo platform, then the passive safety of the truck could deteriorate significantly. There is no information about the calibration of the electronics, but the rear-wheel drive shortened version certainly has a complex character.

The DriveThe DriveThe Drive

Under the hood, the supercharged V8 Hemi (6.2 liters, 712 horsepower, 881 Nm of torque) is retained, and the original heavy pickup is capable of 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill in 4.5 seconds and accelerates to 174 kilometers at one o’clock. A lightweight version with rear-wheel drive may be faster than 200 km/h, although the two-door RAM TRX will not be as agile at the start.

The price of the unusual RAM TRX has not been specified, and so far we are not talking about a massive redesign of monstrous pickups. Meanwhile, the Chuy RMZ will soon have to switch to other vehicles, since production of the TRX superpickup will cease before the end of 2023, and the successor will most likely not have a V8 Hemi engine.
