The “Behind the Wheel” expert revealed interesting features of the new BAIC U5 Plus sedan
The BAIC U5 Plus 2023, which recently went on sale, was taken by an expert from Za Rulem magazine for testing. The results of this test are presented in the corresponding video. It is worth noting that the car performed well on the road, demonstrating several interesting features.
The sedan is assembled in Kaliningrad, which made it possible to set a very reasonable price tag for it. In terms of “filling”, a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine is proposed, the output of which does not exceed 105 horsepower. Of course, the figures are modest, although this is quite enough for everyday use. There is a choice of transmissions – manual or CVT.
On the road, the BAIC U5 Plus performed well, providing a fairly smooth and comfortable ride. Even in the cabin there was no strong noise from the engine. The suspension softened the bumps on the road, and good brake settings indicate the safety of the car. At the same time, I was pleased with the fuel consumption – from 7.3 to 8.3 liters for every hundred kilometers. By the way, it supports AI-92 gasoline. In general, with a price ranging from 2.05 to 2.22 million rubles, the sedan looks quite attractive (photo: BAIC).
