The American team Hoonigan, which in addition to preparing cars for racing, also runs its own blog, presented a new episode of its project This vs. That. In the new straight race, bloggers pitted two models that received serious improvements. The 30-year-old Honda Civic hatchback has become a rival for the 12-year-old Chevrolet Camaro coupe, but the difference in power this time is more than threefold, in favor of the more modern model.

Under the hood of the 1993 Honda Civic is a 1.8-liter Acura turbo engine, which, due to modifications, develops 900 horsepower and is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. The all-wheel drive hatchback weighs just over a ton.

The Chevrolet Camaro is almost twice as heavy—over 1,700 kilograms—but the 2011 coupe has much more power. The monstrous 7.0-liter V8 develops 3,000 forces, which are transmitted through a 3-speed automatic transmission to the rear axle.

The result was a race between two dissimilar cars, which differed both in weight and power, not to mention the type of drive. But the spectacle turned out to be quite interesting, since such different cars are rarely found on the same track.
