The liftback with an impressive price of 975 thousand dollars (90 million rubles at the current exchange rate) opens the traditional list of gifts from the famous American department store Neiman Marcus. The Carmen exclusive Celestiq is said to be unlike anything else. It will be assembled by hand, and the buyer will be able to observe and even participate in the process: a trip to Detroit is included.

Cadillac hasn’t revealed many details about the special Celestiq. The liftback is promised a “smart” glass roof and several screens: a giant 55-inch cluster on the front panel, an eight-inch display below and two 12.6-inch diagonal passenger screens.

The ultra-luxury cars differ in their interiors, and the Celestiq has the aforementioned 55-inch display as well as an 11-inch front command center. These are joined by an 8-inch rear command center, as well as 12.6-inch displays for rear seat passengers.

The equipment will also include fourth-generation Magnetic Ride Control adaptive air suspension, active roll control and Cadillac’s signature Super Cruise autopilot.

Like the “regular” Celestiq, the Carmen is equipped with a twin-engine power plant with a capacity of about 608 horsepower (868 Nm of torque). The battery with a capacity of 111 kilowatt-hours provides about 480 kilometers of travel without recharging.

The buyer of the unique liftback will receive a bonus two-day trip to the Cadillac plant in Detroit, where he will be able to observe the hand-made assembly of his Celestiq and communicate with the designers. Hotel accommodation, meals in restaurants and excursions are included in the price. The $25,000 paid for the liftback will be donated to the Detroit Opera House.

Cadillac Celestiq was introduced last summer. The flagship electric car has become the most expensive model of the brand, but the price of the production version is almost three times lower than the Christmas exclusive: it is 340 thousand dollars (31.6 million rubles).
