FAW Bestune B70 is a D-class liftback that will soon become a new Lada model and “register” at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. Meanwhile, in China, the model is already preparing for a planned restyling: the Chinese Automobiles portal publishes photos of the novelty from the database of the Ministry of Industry of the PRC. With the update, the liftback will be transformed in accordance with the current corporate identity of the Bestune line.

The changes will be only external: Bestune B70 will receive a frameless radiator grille of a new design with a modernized emblem in the middle, two-tier front optics and a full-width monolight at the rear. The liftback will slightly increase in length due to new bumpers and, according to rumors, will get retractable door handles – this solution will be offered as an option. Also, the list of equipment will include a panoramic sunroof and a luminous diode strip above the grille.

The power plant will remain the same. In China, the current Bestune B70 is offered in two versions, with a 169-horsepower 1.5-liter engine and a two-liter engine that develops 224 horsepower. The maximum speed, depending on the version, is 200 or 240 kilometers per hour.

At the beginning of summer, the FAW Bestune B70 in its pre-reform form was seen on the territory of the AvtoVAZ Engineering Center in Togliatti. It is noteworthy that such a car has been on sale in Russia for some time, and so far under the original FAW brand, and not Lada: the current prices for mid-August range from 2,378,000 to 2,829,000 rubles.
