Geely is expanding its line of “green” Galaxy models – the L6 hybrid sedan and L7 crossover, as well as the all-electric E8, will be joined by the stylish E5 SUV this year. Moreover, it will be sold not only in China, but also outside it, including in countries with left-hand traffic. Geely publishes a portion of official photos of the model and shares the first details about the new product.

The E5 is based on the same SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform on which the aforementioned E8 is built. In terms of dimensions, the electric crossover is slightly larger than the Geely Atlas Pro and is comparable to the new Atlas, which appeared on the Russian market at the end of 2023. The length of the Galaxy E5 is 4.6 meters with a wheel bar of 2.75 meters.

Externally, the model is similar to the E8 – the same smooth body lines with stampings on the sides, narrowed headlight units and C-shaped LED lines framing the front bumper. The emblem is made in the form of a rectangle, and not a shield, like other Geely models. The door handles are retractable, and there is a monolight at the stern.

A set of the latest security systems and electronic assistants has also been announced.

The full premiere of the Galaxy E5 will take place in the second half of 2024, and sales in China are scheduled for early 2025. Later, the model will begin to be supplied to other countries, but whether Russia will be among them is still unknown.
