According to the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, the previously announced price increase will not affect Lada Granta and Vesta. In a conversation with TASS, he stated that “indexation will not affect some models at all, these are primarily the basic modifications of the Grant and Vesta.” At the same time, indexation will be slightly higher for those cars whose production is more complex and subject to sanctions risks.
At the end of April, Sokolov announced that AvtoVAZ “in the near future” may decide to increase prices, but “the growth will be lower than inflation.” Among the reasons for the rise in car prices, he named increased production costs and increased sanctions risks. As a result, suppliers are forced to use complex logistics and financial chains. It is expected that the cost of Lada models will increase by three percent.

Dealers, in turn, predicted an increase in prices for Vesta by 30-50 thousand rubles, and they expected an increase in price even for the basic version of the model, but they did not mention Grant at all. In the meantime, Lada Granta costs from 699,900 rubles without discounts, and prices for Vesta start from 1,239,900 rubles.
Current price lists were recorded until May 2024. AvtoVAZ is currently analyzing the market, the level of effective demand and the efficiency of production of its own products.
Meanwhile, AvtoVAZ is breaking sales records: in April, Lada dealers managed to sell 45,551 new cars, which is 64.8 percent more than in the same month last year. This is higher than the established plan for the month, which provided for the sale of 45 thousand cars, and also the best result for a Russian automaker since October 2012, when Russians bought more than 50 thousand cars.
