According to the TASS news agency, a corresponding claim has appeared in the capital’s Arbitration Court. The domestic company has been engaged in official sales of Renault vehicles for almost 30 years. It is still unknown what prompted the oldest dealership to sue the automaker.

The RTDS group of companies was registered in Russia in 1991. Three years later, the company opened the first Renault car showroom in the country. After the French brand left the Russian market, the domestic dealer began selling cars from the Chinese brands Changan, Omoda and Chery. At the same time, specialists continue to service Renault cars.

The day before, the Moscow Arbitration Court received a statement of claim from RTDS against Renault in the amount of 534 million rubles. However, the case file does not provide the reason for filing the claim, nor the information on the basis of which the Russian company intends to recover funds from the French brand.

At the end of March, Volkswagen filed a lawsuit against Russian customs officials. The German concern was going to sue 300 million rubles for excessive payments.
