The US tuning studio Hennessey Performance, which is famous for its powerful cars based on models of American brands, organized a drag race of two sports cars. To demonstrate the capabilities of the mighty Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 super coupe, modified on its own, the Hennessey Venom 1200 Mustang GT500 model was pitted against a factory-built Chevrolet Corvette Z06 supercar of the current generation C8.

The Hennessey Venom 1200 Mustang GT500 has a 5.2-liter gasoline V8 under the hood that produces 1,221 horsepower. The engine is combined with a 7-speed robotic gearbox and rear-wheel drive.

The rival for the tuning car was the mid-engine Corvette Z06. The C8 generation sports car is equipped with a 670-horsepower naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 and an 8-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches and rear-wheel drive. The result was a race of cars with a twofold difference in power.
