A pickup truck, which in Russia is known as Changan Hunter Plus, has been updated in China.
The updated Changan Hunter frame pickup truck will receive dramatic changes in appearance and technical content. According to photographs from the open database of Chinese certification authorities, the modernized Changan Lantop (known in Russia as Hunter Plus) will radically change its appearance. At the front, the model will become similar to the Uni family, and the rear-view mirror housings will also change.
In addition to appearance, buyers will have the opportunity to purchase a hybrid version of the pickup truck. As before, the truck will be available with a standard (3.18 meters) or extended (3.43 meters) wheelbase. The new product will be equipped with a three-engine hybrid power plant based on a 2.0-liter turbo engine. Electric motors will be placed at the front (95 hp) and rear (177 hp), and they will be powered by a lithium iron phosphate battery. Perhaps Changan will abandon mechanical all-wheel drive in favor of electric.
The exact timing of the premiere of the updated Changan Hunter is still unknown. Approximately, about a month passes from the moment of information leakage to the debut. In Russia, the price of the petrol version of Hunter Plus starts at 3.43 million rubles. Here the model is equipped with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, a BorgWarner transfer case and all-wheel drive. Presumably, the hybrid modification will be more expensive than the basic version.
