At home, the brand produces the Dongfeng Mengshi gasoline all-terrain vehicle, which is an analogue of the American Hummer. The battery version of the SUV, weighing more than three tons, appeared on the domestic market last year under the Mengshi sub-brand. In addition to a powerful power plant and a power reserve of more than 500 kilometers, the “Chinese Hummer” will offer a number of unusual functions.

The five-meter Dongfeng M-Hero is equipped with four electric motors located on each wheel. The total output of the power plant is 1088 horsepower. With a mass of 3293 kilograms, the SUV needs only 4.2 seconds to accelerate to “hundreds”. The maximum speed of the car is 195 kilometers per hour. The battery capacity of 142.7 kilowatt-hours is enough for the model to run for 505 kilometers without recharging.

In China, the standard version of the M-Hero comes with air suspension. However, for Russian buyers the company will most likely offer a spring all-terrain vehicle. In addition, the list of SUV options includes functionality that is unusual for Russia. In particular, the electric car is equipped with external speakers that imitate the sound of a classic internal combustion engine, as well as a “crab mode” like the GMC Hummer EV. The cost of the Chinese new product will be revealed closer to the start of sales.

Meanwhile, Dongfeng M-Hero can already be purchased in Russia. In mid-March, a Chinese electric SUV was sold for 16 million rubles.
