The Chinese Cars portal found out that many official dealers do not have enough cars to meet demand. At the same time, according to Autostat, it was the Monjaro that became Geely’s best-selling model last month: 3,477 crossovers were registered. This allowed it to leave behind Coolray (3035 registrations), entering the top ten absolute bestsellers of the Russian car market.

The success of the Geely Monjaro against the background of modest quotas can be explained by the popularity of the crossover among unofficial sellers. Under the parallel import scheme, Monjaro is often imported, and prices are significantly lower than those offered by official dealers. The fact that Geely’s flagship “pushed” Coolray is also logical: the crossover has been updated and has become noticeably more expensive, and the “budget” pre-reform version is now called BelGee X50 and is considered separately.

All-wheel drive Geely Monjaro with a 2.0-liter turbo engine (238 horsepower) and an 8-speed Aisin automatic transmission is officially sold in Russia. Formally, there are three trim levels, but the most common are the top two versions, Flagship and Exclusive. Without taking into account promotions, such crossovers cost 4,874,990 and 4,974,990 rubles, respectively, but discounts can reach 380 thousand rubles.

Another Geely model has topped the electric vehicle sales ranking for the third month. We are talking about Zeekr 001: despite the “parallel” deliveries, the liftback left behind the localized “Moskvich 3e”. In second place in October is also Zeekr: crossover X.
